You gearheads out there (you know who you are), may be interested to know that I just started using a new Schecter PTX Deluxe guitar. It's a contoured, mahagony Tele with a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and two humbuckers. I love the sound and feel of the guitar. It's extremely comfortable. My other guitar is a handmade chambered solid body built by Bob Gjika. The top is made of Bubinga, an african hard wood. The rest is mahogany. The Gjika guitar is featured on both "Siren Song" and "Peaks and Valleys."

Recently I had the chance to take a lesson with one of my heros, Jim Hall. It was like going to the source. Very inspiring. Just playing with him was a lesson in itself. We talked about some of the things that Jim is famous for such as thematic development and presentation of melody.
